Beautiful and rare vintage 1920's clutch bag in tan leather, embossed with a stunning arts and crafts design all over, with hand-painted details on the front in purples, burnt reds, blues and greens. Shaped flap with popper fastening, and hand strap on the back of the bag. Inside the bag is lined in pale fabric with a small ruched pocket containing the original coin purse, attached to the bag with a plaited cord. The purse is also lined and hand-painted on the front, and fastens with a popper. Having been stored inside the bag, the colours on the purse are far better preserved and indicate the vibrancy of the colours originally on the front of the bag.
