RESERVED! Owned by an original Biba shop girl, this ultra-rare, collectable and supremely flattering floor length vintage swing coat is sure to be the most adored piece of clothing in your collection!
Dated circa 1974 - 5, this beautiful winter coat was purchased by the owner whilst she worked at the Big Biba store at Derry and Toms on Kensington High Street. This now legendary department store became widely acknowledged as the most beautiful shop in the world!
The coat itself is as iconic and stunning as you'd expect from Biba, incorporating movie-star glamour of the thirties and forties with glam seventies chic!
In super-soft and tactile faux beaver fur ("fun fur") with an amazing wash of rainbow colours throughout - light brown, dusky orange, soft purple, smoky green - all the colours you'd expect in a Biba make-up box!
Collarless with one enormous square button to fasten at the neckline. The coat is open from the big button to the floor. Made from a very generous amount of sumptuous fabric which falls in luxurious folds to the floor - our other pictures will show you the gorgeous cut at the back of the coat giving the full swing effect!
Stunning shape with raised shaped shoulders to give that thirties effect, and wide sleeves with fantastic deep cuffs. Slit pocket at each hip.
Fully lined, with Biba label at the back of the neck. Labelled as a UK 12 which is pretty accurate but please check the measurements carefully before you order!

A stunning, ultra-rare and collectable vintage piece - but you don't need us to tell you that! Totally museum-worthy! In superb condition with no major issues, except slight minor discolouration inside to lining at armpit and 2" area of restitched lining inside on seam at right armpit.
