Truly divine, ultra-flattering and sumptuous vintage 1960's cocktail gown by the fabulous Frank Usher, in deep crimson satin fabric.
Gorgeously structured dress, designed to hold you in and flatter your curves to the max.
Glamourous wrap style front with wonderful fanned pleats meeting at the left of the waist with a large red bow. Inside, the bodice is lined with stiffened cream cotton and boned all the way around with it's own metal zip fastening, creating a corseted effect.
The gently flared skirt has two layers of petticoat underneath for shape and form, both in cream stiffened calico cotton.
Low scoop back with back pleats opening out into the skirt for a flattering silhouette.
Metal zip at the centre back to fasten.
A deliciously indulgent dream of a frock! Wear with elbow-length gloves and a faux fur wrap for red-carpet glam.
Information from the Vintage Fashion Guild: "Frank Usher opened for business in 1946 in London. The company's specialty was bringing high end details and fresh off the runway inspirations at a more moderate price range, emulating such designers as Ossie Clark, and often incorporating high end details such as elaborate embroidery."
