This stunning deep royal blue dress by Blanes dates from the 1950's and is in sumptuous and decadent floral patterned jacquard fabric.
A luxurious evening dress, this little beauty has thin double straps which cross at the top of the shoulders, and fantastic fitted shelf bust with beautiful sunray pleats emanating from the centre.
The bodice has internal boning for a fabulous shape.
Fitted waist panel and lovely full flared skirt with inverted pleat to the centre front and back, and regular pleats around the rest of the waist seam.
The back of the bodice has curved panels which meet with a pretty matching fabric bow at the back of the waist.
Lined in calico at the bust and acetate at the skirt, with metal back zip to fasten. Labelled "Blanes, London, size 12" - but more like a UK 8 by todays standards.
Stunning with evening gloves, feathered hat and fifties winklepicker shoes for some Audrey Hepburn inspired elegance!
