Information from the Vintage Fashion Guild: "Dollyrockers was one of the labels of the British Boutique Movement. The house designer for this label was Samuel Sherman, known as "Sambo". Samuel Sherman teamed up with Dolcis Shoes so that they could co-ordinate that season's ranges and carry out a joint publicity campaign headed by the Smith's Crisps girl Pattie Boyd (who had conveniently just begun dating a Beatle when the campaign began, so she got a lot of extra attention for both labels).
In the 60s, they often did simple dresses, but they are probably more famous for their peasant dresses of the 1970s. Active c.1963-c.1975"
Here is a lovely authentic original vintage 1970's Dollyrockers cotton maxi dress, of the type for which they were most famous! Hippy peasant style frock in beautiful lilac cotton with a print of rows of beige roses and daisies.
Sleeveless frock with square neckline, frill trim to the shoulders/bust, and golden brown velvet ribbon trim to the bust. High seamed waist with long maxi skirt, gathered under the waist seam and trimmed with frilled hemline!
Fastens at the back with a metal zip. Labelled hand wash only, to fit bust 33 - 34" and hips 35 - 36" - but please check the measurements as vintage often comes up small!
