Stunning sumptuous vintage 1950's cocktail dress by Horrockses, in thick black brocade-like fabric with gold floral design.
Unusual construction with strappy straight necked affixed bodice under a top layer with off-the shoulder cap sleeved design and angled neckline.
Tapers in at the waist, with full skirt which has two pleats in the back each side.
Metal zip to the back to fasten, and skirt is lined in stiffened fabric for a structured shape.
Labelled as a UK 14 but comes up more like a 10 - 12, dry clean only.
Lovely quality very elegant vintage dress of the era.
