Stunning, elegant and effortlessly chic vintage evening dress circa 1970's by Radley.
If you are looking for movie star glamour look no further! Reminiscent of the gorgeous Audrey Hepburn in THAT dress in Breakfast at Tiffany's, this wonderful evening gown is in soft and tactile thick black velvet fabric.
Fitted flattering bodice with wide neckline and delicate black satin straps. Daring low-cut back and seamed waist with the original black satin bow belt to match.
Darts from the waist give a nipped-in silhouette, and the long column skirt will give you enviable curves! There is a 16.5" back slit from the hem so you can walk!
Fastens at the back with a plastic zip. Bodice is lined in black acetate and the dress is labelled as a UK 10 but is more like a UK 8 on the waist so please check the measurements carefully!
Information from the Vintage Fashion Guild:
"Radley was a British clothing manufacturing company of the 1960s through the 1980s, owned by Alfred Radley. The company is best known for its association with the Quorum Boutique, which it acquired controlling interest of in 1969.
The designers at Quorum, Ossie Clark and Alice Pollock, also did garments under the Radley label, and many Radley garments borrowed design elements from the popular Quorum designers. The garment would be sketched by Clark, then Radley's in-house designer would use the ideas to produce a variety of designs for Radley."
