Demure and sugar-sweet vintage 1950's cotton day dress in slate grey cotton, labelled "A Nettie Vogues Model, London".
Gorgeous flattering style and fit, with short cap sleeves and v-neckline front and back, trimmed with a wide band of soft pink, edged in white broderie anglaise lace and decorated at the base of the neckline with a pretty pink bow!
Bust and waist darts add shape, and under the seamed waist the skirt is pleated at regular intervals all the way around, opening out to the hem.
The hem is trimmed with pink cotton and white broderie anglaise to match the neckline, and the skirt has a white mesh net petticoat underneath to add shape.
Fastens at the back with a plastic zip (replaced from the original).
Very pretty fifties frock, nice colours and simple chic design.
