Sumptuous black velvet and shantung silk vintage 80's strapless prom dress

Sultry, flattering and lovely quality vintage 1980's strapless prom or evening dress by Hagarty.
Shapely fitted black velvet bodice with integral boning and pleated shantung silk trim ruffles around the top of the bust.
V-shaped waist seam to the front, and fabulous full black slubbed shantung silk skirt, gathered under the waistband from the hips, all the way around the back, where there is an extra attached train detail from waist to hem.
The bodice is fully lined in black acetate, and the skirt also has an acetate petticoat with attached tier of black mesh net to give form.
Fastens at the back with a plastic zip.
Labelled Hagarty, 100% silk, size 12 - but is more like a current UK 8 - 10 so please check measurements below before purchasing!
Looks great with rhinestone jewellery and metallic sandals for prom queen bliss!
