Stunning red pleated chiffon 1970s disco era Marcel Fenez evening dress
Beautiful vintage vibrant red chiffon evening dress by Marcel Fenez, designed by Roland Klein. Klein originally worked for Dior in the early 1960s until joining Marcel Fenez in the mid 1960s, eventually being made director of the house and being given his own label in 1973.
This stunning vintage evening dress dates from the mid-late 1970s Studio 54 disco era, and is elasticated around the shoulders so can be worn on or off shoulder. Underneath the sheer top layer is a fitted bodice with bust darts to give a flattering silhoutte, and the fitted waist features a red ribbon belt.
The skirt is in elegant sunray pleated chiffon, with the pleats opening out before they meet the hemline.
Fully lined with nylon belt to the centre back. Labelled as a vintage 12.
