With the arrival of the new look Candy Says website this month, we are launching an exciting competition which could see you featured as the next Candy Says Vintage cover star, in pride of place on our home page! One lucky winner will receive this fantastic prize package: a 2 hour vintage-inspired photoshoot worth £200 at the amazing Retro Photostudio, plus £100 in gift vouchers to spend in our online store!
Retro Photostudio have had their work featured in various publications such as Vintage Life Magazine, Tease and Cake, the Guardian Newspaper and Creative Portrait, and are experts in vintage and retro photography. Based near Southend, Essex, they have kindly offered a free 2-hour shoot (worth £200) at the studio, and will retouch 'Mendoza' style one image and supply in web resolution and print resolution so you have a special memento of your experience. Perhaps you'll want to use your £100 of Candy Says gift vouchers for the perfect outfit for your photoshoot ...
All you need to do to enter is email us your photo to dawn@candysays.co.uk with the title 'Candy Says Model Competition'. You can also enter by posting your photo on our Facebook page (or via private message) or by tagging us on Instagram @candysaysuk with the hashtag #CandySaysModel.
The competition is open to anyone aged 18+ (no upper age limit). You don't need to be a budding model to take part - just love your vintage fashion and rock your individual look. Ideally we'd like you to sport one of your Candy Says purchases for the photo - but this is not essential (though your outfit will need to be predominantly vintage clothing as that's what we sell!).
This is not a beauty contest - we'll purely be judging on who has the most interesting photo so don't be shy!
Competition closes at the end of the day on Friday 10th March 2017. The winner’s photo will be featured on the Candy Says homepage in pride of place. They will also receive details in order to arrange their Retro Photostudio photoshoot, and a Candy Says gift voucher to the value of £100.
Once the winner has had their photoshoot we will also feature a selection of these photos on our homepage throughout the year – fame!
T&Cs: Competition is open worldwide but please note the winner will need to cover their own travel and accommodation costs to attend the photoshoot - the prize is ONLY the photoshoot and vouchers! Over 18s only, and you must have the full legal rights/permissions to your photo and allow us to use it on our website/marketing. Competition closes on Friday 10th March 2017 and the winner will be picked and notified within 7 days. We may also ask for a little bit more information about you for a blog post to introduce you. Prize is not transferable. No cash alternative. Additional images can be ordered for retouching/printing at special rates. The winner is responsible for their own make-up and hair styling (and must attend with hair/make-up ready to shoot). The studio does have the services of a make-up artist/hair stylist and her fees will be chargeable if the prize winner wishes to use her services.
